PH has been able to sleep on his own for the past few mths.. but recently, he dun want to sleep even if it's past bedtime.. he wanted to run ard, play etc.. and we will have a hard time rocking him to sleep...
so i decided to 'bedtrain' him... instead of rocking him to sleep, i put him in his cot n stay beside him to wait for him to sleep... it was quite bad.. he will be wailing away.. trying to climb out of his cot (he can climb out halfway now).. very drama.. but i refused to give way.. :(
in the end, i decided to use 'peer pressure' on him.. i put a bear beside him.. ask him to sayang the bear n keep the bear company.. told him tt bear bear sleeping n wants a companion so tt bear bear won't be afraid.. den i will juz lie on the bed beside his cot n pat him to sleep.. he still cry n struggle to get out... but not as bad as without bear bear..
it has been a wk of training.. really tired.. sometimes he's showing progress.. sometimes not.. hai... hopefully we can slowly train him to sleep on his own.. once he can sleep in his cot without much fuss, will convert his cot into toddler bed..
aft these, i hope to wean him off his pacifier.. he has been quite okie on pacifier.. only need it to fall asleep.. but i hope he won't need it when he goes childcare.. worried tt they may not wash it properly if he drops it on the floor.. hope i will be able to complete his training within a mth... seems impossible though.. :P
