Malacca road trip..

Hubby's ex colleagues planned a road trip to Malacca... and we decided to tag along.. :) it's our first time driving in to M'sia and I was rather worried abt car safety issues... and of coz the NS highway accidents.. :P

it's a 2D1N trip.. we packed really light for the adults.. but for PH, he got 1 bagful of tibits, milo, milk, water etc etc, another bag of diapers n clothes.. :P hubby said tt in future, it will be better to plan for longer vacation rather than 2D1N so that it's more worthwhile packing.. hahaha.. :P luckily we r driving in.. won't need to lug all these stuffs up n down the car other than check in.. :P

starting of the trip.. bringing his fav bolster definitely made my life easier.. he had a gd time playing with his bolster.. :)

took 2 hours plus to drive fr Singapore Tuas checkpoint to Malacca.. the traffic condition was gd.. no jam at the checkpoints.. phew...... :) PH slept for half the journey.. :) woke up when we reached Malacca.. had yummy Nonya lunch at Nancy's Kitchen... i love their chap chye.. very nice.. popiah was gd too.. also tried buah keluak... taste okie lah.. juz like some spices only... not really special.. :P ohhh.. not forgetting the otah... :) i'm not an otah person.. but their otah is really nice.. soft like beancurd.. unlike the ones in s'pore... :) tried ondeh ondeh too... yum yum.. better than any ondeh ondeh i have eaten in s'pore... the skin is really thin.. and there's this special fragrance.. really yummy.. :)

went to a nice cake shop aft we checked in.. :) their speciality is crepe 'cake'.. layers n layers of crepes were stack on top on one another with a thin layer of vanilla cream in between each layer.. super yummy.. :) another of their specialities is strawberry shortcake... i love it.. :) so much so that we went back to the cake shop again before we start our journey back home.. :P

aft the cake shop, it's free n easy at mahkota parade plaza and Melaka Mega Mall.. :) bought a few pair of sleeping pants for both my kids and 2 rompers for the little one @ only RM32 at FOS outlet.. :) went to Mega Mall to shop n chance upon the kiddy rides.. :) it's so cheap.. animal tu tu train ride ard the mall for only RM2 per person.. papa n PH enjoyed the ride together while mama rest at the fountain nearby.. :P

notice how PH's smile look like? this is how he smile when requested... he's now learning how to smile.. looks kinda weird... reminds me of my youngest sis when she was learning how to smile.. :P those '肉紧' espression... hahahahahahahhahaha... :P



controlling his own elephant ride.. cheap cheap cheap... oso only RM 2 per ride... it's S$2 in S'pore lor... no wonder s'porean becomes bird in m'sia cheaping (chirping) away... hahahaha... :P



went to Ujong Pasir Big Benz seafood restaurant for dinner aft the shopping trip.. :) the scenery looks so much like east coast park we almost thot tt we were back in s'pore liao.. :P food was so so.. not very very fantastic.. not something i will purposely travel to Malacca for.. :P but their Cheese crab is interesting.. love the rich buttery cheesy taste.. :) garlic prawn was so so.. prawn not tt fresh leh..

PH had fun playing catching with gor gor at the open space near the restaurant.. the boy is constantly testing our limits.. purposely ran far far away so tt his poor papa got to run aft him to pull him back.. kept trying to challange us until i scolded him.. hai.. somehow reminded me of nemo.. :P

Day 2, the grp planned to go to sepang for go kart.. but since i'm preg n PH's too young to join in, we decided to drop out of it n make our own way ard Malacca.. had early breakfast n went to Eye on Malaysia.. we got there early and it was not opened yet.. so went to the beach nearby..



PH insisted on walking on his own.. quite a careful little boy.. if he feels unsure, he will request for papa to hold his hand.. :P or shd we say he's kiasi?? hahahaha... :P



there's an auntie there with her daughter throwing pebbles into the sea.. PH saw it n decided to follow.. but, he got no strength.. all his throwing ( no matter how hard he tried) only went into the rock crevices few steps away fr him.. :P none went into the sea... hahahaha... :P



made our way to Eye on Malaysia the moment it opened.. became one of the first few customers of the day.. :P there's special rate of 50% discount to Malaysians.. without checking our ID, the customer service officer charged us special Malaysian's rate.. hehehe.. :) so instead of paying RM20 per adult, we only paid RM10 per adult.. hehehe.. :P hubby said must be due to me.. i got 'international' face.. when i'm in China, i looked like a chinese.. when in Malaysia, i looked like Malaysian.. :P i discovered this during Uni years.. :P often being mistaken as M'sian or PRC.. many were surprised when they realised tt i'm a Singaporean... hahahaha.. :P



in the cabin... :) we went round n round until i lost count.. :P initially, we were still quite excited.. aft going for 2 rounds, we were wondering when we can alight.. :P there's nothing much to see.. i think Singapore flyer's scenery is much nicer.. :P





papa bought ice cream aft the ride... PH took over the 'ownership' of it.. :P

had chicken rice for lunch at Jonker's walk.. saw the fishball look-alike thingy? it's actually chicken rice ball.. taste okie lah.. the rice is not as oily as the one in Singapore.. but it's not especially gd lor... :P i think i still prefer s'pore's style.. :P



nice interior though.. :)







went to the cake shop for more yummy crepe cakes and started our journey back home.. :) PH was so tired tt he slept all the way fr Malacca back to Singapore.. hehehe.. :) mama was tired n fell asleep too... during the 40min when mama slept, papa took the chance to speed... :P journey back home was faster due to this.. :P but we were stucked at Woodlands checkpoint for almost an hour due to the stringent security checks at Singapore immigration... :( by the time we finally touch home ground, it's already 5pm... :P

overall, had fun eating n eating n eating.. :P din really do much sightseeing.. but we did see alot of the street sights while getting lost n trying to find our way out of the single direction roads... :P

A day at the Farms..

This weekend, we decided to bring PH to the countryside.. the boy had been spending too much time at shopping malls.. time for some outdoor fresh air.. erm.. not really nice smelling though since Hay's Dairy is in the itinerary.. hahahaha... :P in fact, PH's hair smell of goat even hours aft we left the farm... :P

the first stop of the day is Hay's dairy.. we were in time for the milking session.. it was interesting.. PH was really engrossed by the milking session.. :P



we bought 2 bottles of goat's milk home.. i love goat's milk.. but hubby hated it.. hahaha.. PH tried the milk when we were home.. he seems to acquired his papa's tastebud.. he hated the milk as well.. but i managed to force feed a few mouthful.. hahaha.. :P

next stop, Hausmann Marketing Aquarium.. We have been to Qianhu several times so i thought we should try some other fish farms... :) fr the kranji countryside guide, Hausmann looks interesting with fish spa, longkang fishing, prawn fishing n fish feeding.. :) i wanted to try fish spa.. but aft preg, i always hav rashes n itchy spots on my feet.. so better dun try lah... :P

i fed the Arapaima.. it's a giant fish.. was really excited.. hahahaha.. :P hubby said i enjoyed the session more than PH.. :P



PH had fun at the longkang fishing area... he loves crossing the bridges... i was so worried tt he may miss a step n end up bathing in the longkang.. :P luckily, his balancing skill seems gd..... :)

we left Hausmann and was abt to go home when we saw cute mushroom looking structures in the farm across the road.. since we were there already, i thought we might as well drop by.. we thought tt it's a mushroom farm.. turns out tt it's an aeroponic farm.. :) and there's even uncle Ringo in the farm... :P

PH had a fun train ride.. really wobbly too.. :P we thought it was meant to wobble like tt until we saw the operator checking the wheels aft PH's ride... :P hmmmmm... not sure if it's some technical fault or wat.. :P

ended the farm trip with a nice lunch at Jurong Point's Ding Tai Feng.. :P PH was so drained tt he slept on the way home.. too bad he had power nap on the journey back n woke up feeling energised again when his tired parents reach home... argh.. :P

Updates on both my 宝贝..

Pin Heng has improved at childcare recently.. his crying in the morning is less.. this is aft i told his papa not to juz put him down n siam immediately... :P coz the few times i drop him off, he's rather okie.. tt's bcoz slow motion mama will usually guide him to the teacher, wash his hand, if he wants a hug, will hug him.. if he's okie, will leave him.. so the dropping off duration is much longer than papa's usual routine.. :P the boy seems more stable emotionally when we take things slow.. n of coz, the teachers now try to lure him with candy or biscuits... since i dun give him candy usually, i guess candy once a day to calm him down shdn't be too bad for him... :P

outing to pizza hut outlet.. :) PH had a yummy pizza treat.. :) the greedy boy was already eyeing the pizza during the demo.. :P





for the past few weekends, PH has been missing out swimming n shopping... :P last wk, he had diarrhea.. so we were worried abt stomach flu.. so no swimming for him.. :P this wk, he's down with flu... so again no shopping or swimming for him.. :P

PH has already started to identify himself as gor gor and the younger one as baby.. :) and he's showing anticipation of the arrival of the little one.. :) whenever he's playing with his fav balloon, he will ask if baby wants to play.. he seems quite willing to share with baby.. :) he will oso mention tt baby will eat certain small toys he's playing so cannot give baby.. :) once, i told him baby is kicking mama.. n he said 'baby 要大便 huh??' he thot baby kicked me bcoz of tummy pain.. hahahahaha... :p

as for the little one, we went for the detail scan last wk.. :) she's doing fine and developing well.. ;) yes... little one is a girl!! :D However, gynae is not 100% confirm of the gender.. it's unlike little boy where gender is confirmed with the presence of the little 'fountain'.. :P the gender is assumed as girl due to the absent of the fountain.. so we are not sure if the absence if due to wrong angle or wat.. :P therefore, i can't start my spree yet... can only start shopping for pink clothings and dresses when i carry my gal in my arm.. hahahaha.. :P for the moment, it's only neutral colours.. :P

it seems to me that little one is going to be more active than gor gor.. she kicks much more than gor gor.. she's not as timid too.. PH used to hiccup in my tummy whenever we visit my gynae.. the moment we see gynae, he will remain frozen... seldom see him move during my scans.. :P but for the little one, she's always moving during the scans.. once, gynae was trying to listen to her heartbeat.. she hated the probing and siam the probe.. :P took gynae a few minutes b4 she can be tracked.. :P during detail scan, she was waving her little hands alot... :)

hope that the little one will remain as a girl till birth... den my dream will be fulfilled liao.... :)
