finally, i hav stopped pumping milk.. it has been a long long year.. :P initially i wanted to stop when i go back to work.. but somehow, worked it round and managed to continue giving PH 100% EBM for a few more mths.. until i switched job when i can no longer hav the luxury of pumping milk frequently.. i slowly reduce pumping and introduce FM to PH.. luckily he can take FM well.. thus, i'm able to slowly reduce from 4 pumps a day, to 3 pumps, 2 pumps and finally 1 pump a day.. :)
the path is not easy as i suffered fr blocked ducts frequently due to the reduce pumping frequency.. luckily, learnt a few tricks fr my LC when i had my first major blocked ducts.. thus managed to solve all the block ducts by myself aft tt.. :P finally, i was able to comfortably reduce pumping to once every few days.. n now, i dun feel engorgement anymore... :)
i felt sad tt i can no longer give BM to PH.. but on the other hand, i enjoy the freedom of not having to pump frequently.. no engorgement etc... now, i wonder if i will be able to provide the same for my 2nd one in future.. hubby told me i muz so tt it will be fair... :P
anyway, bf-ing has been a very fulfilling experience.. and a very money saving one too... :P heee.. :) i admire myself for being able to tong for 9 mths longer than my original plan.. :) now i know tt i can tong for so long, i shall be able to buy my dream pump- Medela PIS, when i hav my 2nd one... hahahahaha... :)
